Perfumes and colognes refer to fragrant liquids worn to give a pleasant smell to one's body. In perfumery, these terms often distinguish between stronger, longer-lasting perfumes and lighter, fresher colognes. Perfumes typically have higher concentrations of oils, usually 15-30%, while colognes have lower concentrations, around 3-5%. Perfumes are often evening wear or special occasions, while colognes are commonly worn during the day or for casual events. In Malaysia's tropical climate, lighter fragrances are often preferred. This category includes a wide range of fragrance families, from floral and oriental to fresh and woody scents.
